Volatility 75 Index Strategy: Heatmap & Tick Analysis
A repeatable playbook for trading Deriv's Volatility 75 Index using Revolution's digit heatmap, tick trader and Truth Engine suggestions.
Why Volatility 75?
The Volatility 75 Index (V75) is the most popular Deriv synthetic because it moves fast enough to produce clear tick imbalances without the whipsaw of V100 or V250. Its 1-second sibling (1HZ75V) generates a fresh tick every second, giving digit-based strategies a large sample of clean data to work with.
For strategies built on digit frequency — Matches / Differs, Over / Under and Even / Odd — V75 is a sweet spot between signal quality and reaction time.
Step 1 — Read the Digit Heatmap
Open Analysis Tool and select Volatility 75 Index. The digit heatmap ranks digits 0-9 by frequency over the last 1000 ticks. Green cells are the three hottest digits, red cells the three coldest.
- Matches: hunt the top green digit when its edge is ≥ 12%.
- Differs: hunt the bottom red digit when its edge is ≥ 15%.
- Over / Under: pick the barrier where the cumulative side shows a persistent ≥ 55% share.
Step 2 — Confirm with Tick Analysis
Below the heatmap the last-digit stream shows the most recent ticks. A valid entry needs the target digit to have appeared at least twice in the last 20 ticks and to not be trending down over the last 200. That prevents buying into a fading cluster.
Step 3 — Arm the Tick Trader
Tap the digit in the heatmap to arm the floating Tick Trader with V75 as the market and the digit as the entry. Set your stake (10 USD is the default), pick 1-4 entry digits and run. The bot buys the moment the incoming tick matches any armed entry.
Small stakes, high frequency
V75 fires many opportunities per hour — keep stake ≤ 2% of bankroll.
Trail with Kelly
The Truth Engine's half-Kelly suggestion scales stake by measured edge, not gut.
Step 4 — Let the Truth Engine Filter
Revolution's Truth Engine runs walk-forward backtests on V75 continuously and surfaces the best of six contract families in real time. When it plays the high-confidence alarm, the best play is one tap away from being armed in the Tick Trader with your current stake.
Rules of engagement
- Never override a red-lit suggestion just because a candle "looks" right.
- Stop for the day after 3 consecutive losses or +10% profit.
- Trade only during the volatility window the backtester validated (1H+).
